Distributing Hygiene Care Bags on NC College Campuses
College is an exciting experience full of independence, growth, friendships, and challenges. Some students do not have a support system and are unable to purchase essential hygiene items since funds are allocated for tuition, room & board, food, and books. Some students may run out of items and may not be able to purchase until their next payday. This can have a negative impact both physically and mentally, resulting in low self-confidence, depression, and limited social interactions, including missed classes.
SOYMILK & HOPE understands the importance of healthy hygiene habits and the positive impact that it has among students. Our organization collaborates with campus organizations and student pantries to provide access to FREE soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, lotion, lip balm, sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, and laundry detergent. Our hope is that students feel comfortable, confident, and clean as they attend classes.
